Guest Conductor: Jamie Sommerville, Soprano: Monica Whicher
Light reflecting on water, through glass and prisms - people reflecting on life, their past and their future. All of this happens in songs, waltzes, and a symphony in this concert. The Blue Danube glistens, a kaleidoscope fractures and splashes colour, a symphony ends unfinished. The journey concludes with the deeply moving Four Last Songs - a reflective ending made more poignant by the extraordinary voice of our guest soloist, Monica Whicher.
Guest Conductor Jamie Sommerville is Principal French Horn with the Boston Symphony Orchestra.
